Title Technology Integration Specialist/Library MediaJob Location or School Name ItinerantCounty Mercer Qualifications Hold or be eligible for a valid West Virginia teaching certificate with proper endorsement in Library Media grades K-5. Applicants must demonstrate specific technology skills such as Power Point; use of flash-drive; Microsoft office; and the use of the internet for instructional purposes. Specialized training is to include Basic Skills; DIBELS Next, Learning Focus Strategies; use of technology; Microsoft Office Power Point; Marco Polo; Acuity; Edline; Compass; wireless technology; test item analysis and interpretation; instructional strategies; motivational techniques; classroom management; reading techniques; parental involvement. Applicants should have experience in effective integration of technology into reading and/or math; demonstrate knowledge in correlating curriculum standards to integration of technology and the training of teachers in the implementation of technology into the classroom. The successful applicant will model appropriate strategies for the integration of technology into reading and/or math instruction; assist teachers with the use of technology for progress monitoring and benchmarking; plan and provide professional development; assist in technology planning, attend training for progress monitoring and benchmarking and other training deemed appropriate by the principal. Note: This position is an Itinerant position and will be assigned according to need. Training will be required outside of the normal work schedule and days of employment to fulfill the Technology Integration Specialist requirements.
