Title Title I Instructional InterventionistGrade Level ElementaryDescription This position begins with the 2013-2014 school year. This position is shared between Ceres & Brushfork Schools. Job Location or School Name Ceres School & Brushfork School County Mercer Qualifications Hold or be eligible for a valid West Virginia teaching certificate with proper endorsement in Multi-Subjects K-6 or K-8 or Reading Authorization or Specialization required. Specialized training is to include: Strategies utilizing whole group or small flexible group instruction; an understanding of the five components of Reading and an in-depth knowledge of phonics, phonemic awareness and decoding skills; knowledge of scientifically based Reading research; Basic Skills; Learning Focused Strategies; Academy 5 (Ashlock); DIBELS; test item analysis and interpretation; motivational techniques; classroom management; relevant Reading strategies and parental involvement. Job Description # 146 is hereby incorporated as a part of this posting. Note: This position will require flexible scheduling as determined by the principal. The successful applicants will be expected to attend training for progress monitoring benchmarking and other trainings deemed appropriate by the principal or Assistant Superintendent. Duties will include providing Benchmark, Strategic and Intensive reading and math instruction. Other duties to be determined by the Assistant Superintendent and principal based upon need.
