Description
The person employed for this position must be West Virginia certified as a principal, grades PK-5, by the West Virginia Department of Education. Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience as a principal. This is a 220 day position; salary is commensurate with degree and experience. Duties are outlined by West Virginia Code - §18A-2-9 and will include but not be limited to day-to-day operation of the school, supervision of personnel, discipline, public relations, finance, building maintenance, serve as curriculum leader, supervision of extra-curricular activities, and management of any summer school or before/after school programs that may be developed. The successful applicant must be knowledgeable in technology including WVEIS. This person will work closely with the superintendent, and the Central Office Staff. This position will be effective with the 2013-2014 school year.
