Mercer Qualifications
Valid West Virginia teaching certificate with proper endorsement in Vocational Agriculture 9-12 or Agriculture Education 9-12. Preferred experiences: teaching Agriculture classes; leadership development through the national FAA Organization; understanding of applied science principals in many facets of the agriculture industry; industry experience in livestock husbandry and/or greenhouse management. Successful candidates must demonstrate ability to: build strong relationships, maintain high expectations and focus on student strengths; utilize effective reading, writing, computation and communication skills; use rubrics effectively; develop and utilize business and community connections to strengthen program; organize, problem solve, critically and creatively think, make decisions and apply cooperative learning skills; emphasize personal responsibility and set clear behavior expectations.
