Description

10. Perform the following  
soldering applications:  
silver, soft, and brazing 
11. Pressurize a system  
with dry nitrogen and  
refrigerant and locate and  
repair leaks 
12. Charge a system on  
both the high and low side 
13. Remove and replace a  
compressor and compressor  
parts in a refrigeration  
system 
14. Remove and replace  
temperature controls 
15. Check, remove and  
replace a defrost timer,  
defrost termination  
thermostat, and defrost and  
mullion heater 
16. Locate and repair an  
evaporator leak 
17. Braze joints in repair  
of refrigeration tubing 
18. Use electrical test  
equipment to check voltage and  
amps and measure wattage 
19. Install a single-stage  
and two-stage heating and  
cooling thermostat 
20. Remove and/or replace  
fan blades, a fan motor and  
blower wheels 
21. Physical Requirements:  
• Must have physical  
strength, balance, hand-eye  
coordination, and stamina  
necessary to complete jobs in  
various areas.  
• Must be able to lift  
and carry up to 50 pounds and  
push and/or pull 50-pound  
loads at a time.  
• Must be able to stand  
and walk up to eight hours per  
day.  
• May occasionally be  
required to bend or twist at  
the neck and/or trunk, reach  
with hands and arms, stoop,  
kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
