PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 
 
· Five years acceptable  
teaching experience 
 
· M.A. in educational  
related field 
 
· Experience in organizing  
and implementing  
professional development  
activities 
 
· Extensive knowledge and  
experience in the  
implementation of research- 
based instructional  
strategies including but not  
limited to technology  
integration 
 
· Extensive training and  
experience using various  
computer software and  
resources, including but not  
limited to: Internet, MS  
Platforms, MS Office,  
Chromebooks and Chromebook  
apps, podcast creation,  
online textbook resources,  
Internet Safety training 
 
REPORTS TO: Principal and  
Director/Coordinator of  
Technology and Director of  
Instructional Services for  
Middle School. 
 
PURPOSE: This individual  
provides training and  
support to the staff and  
students on technology  
integration, the WV Learning  
Skills and Technology Tools  
Next Gen Standards, educator  
technology standards as  
reflected in WV Policy and  
various statewide technology  
resources as well as  
county/school software  
applications. This  
individual also assists in  
the implementation of the  
county and school five year  
plans including the  
technology plans. This  
individual will also be  
responsible for  
troubleshooting, providing  
support, and putting in work  
orders in order to keep all  
equipment current and  
working properly. 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
1. MAJOR FUNCTION: Planning  
and Facilitating Teaching  
and Learning 
 
· Assist in the planning and  
implementation of the  
school’s effort to increase  
learning for all students 
 
· Analyze and interpret  
school and student data with  
all stakeholders 
 
· Plans, works  
collaboratively and co- 
teaches with teachers on a  
regular basis 
 
· Leads in the school’s use  
of instructional technology  
to enhance learning 
 
· Models the instructional  
strategies including the  
integration of technology in  
all curriculum areas 
 
· Assesses learning and  
information needs of  
students and staff 
 
· Collaborates with teachers  
and other instructional  
staff to develop curriculum  
materials and specific  
lesson plans including the  
integration of technology 
 
· Facilitates school  
participation in technology  
programs and activities  
including Cyber Safety  
lessons 
 
· Conducts staff development  
in the areas of County  
Acceptable Use Policy,  
technology integration, the  
21st Century Learning Skills  
and Technology Tools and,  
educator technology  
standards as reflected in WV  
Policy 5310(Performance  
Evaluation of School  
Personnel), 2520(Next Gen  
Standards), 2460(Educational  
Purpose and Acceptable Use  
Policy)and various statewide  
technology resources as well  
as county/school software  
applications 
 
· Instructs students and  
staff in the effective use  
of ideas and information 
 
· Incorporates information  
literacy into day-to-day  
instruction 
 
· Follows a plan for  
professional development and  
actively seeks out  
opportunities to grow  
professionally including but  
not limited to attending the  
WV State Technology  
Conference 
 
2. MAJOR FUNCTION: Planning  
and Facilitating Information  
Access and Delivery 
 
· Implements best practices  
related to instruction  
including but not limited to  
technology use in the school  
program based on research,  
pilot programs, and  
state/national standards 
 
· Works with the principal  
and the school leadership  
team to provide access to  
instructional resources  
including technology  
resources and services at  
point of need 
 
· Works with teachers and  
technology staff in the  
selection of resources that  
are compatible with the  
school technology  
infrastructure 
 
· Assists with planning the  
design of the technology  
infrastructure so that  
information resources are  
continually available to the  
school 
 
· Promotes family, business,  
and community partnerships  
that support the academic  
success, career readiness,  
and general well-being of  
all children 
 
· Adheres to and  
communicates copyright as  
well as other laws and  
guidelines pertaining to the  
distribution and ethical use  
of all resources 
 
· Works with county  
technology  
coordinator/director, county  
techs, school personnel to  
prepare devices for  
benchmarking software,  
testing software (Compass,  
AP, DLM-Kite,  
SmarterBalanced, etc.) 
 
· Assist teachers with the  
various testing platforms  
and scenarios 
 
3. MAJOR FUNCTION: Planning  
and Facilitating Program  
Administration 
 
· Provides leadership and  
collaborates with the School  
Technology Team to develop,  
implement, and update a  
school instructional  
technology plan aligned with  
the county – level  
technology plan 
 
· Collaborates with  
teachers, media and  
technology staff, and  
students to evaluate and  
select resources addressing  
curricular needs and  
learning goals 
 
· Collaborates with  
teachers, and students to  
fully utilize technology  
device and helps to infuse  
instruction with technology 
 
· Plays a role in the  
school’s budgetary process  
to ensure funding for the  
instructional technology  
program to support school- 
wide goals 
 
· Leads in the ongoing  
evaluation of the  
effectiveness of the  
instructional technology  
program 
 
· Prepares and submits  
accurate reports as required 
 
· Submits work orders and  
does level 1 troubleshooting 
 
· Carries out non- 
instructional duties as  
assigned and/or as needed to  
ensure student safety 
 
· Assists county technology  
staff with the preparation  
of desktops and devices for  
teacher and student use 
 
· Maintains a working  
inventory of all technology  
devices at the school 
 
4. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND  
ABILITIES: 
 
· Possesses effective  
communication and  
interpersonal skills 
 
· Demonstrates willingness  
to learn new skills as it  
pertains to various  
technology equipment

programs such as MS Office

· Possesses organizational
