Morgantown High School

Morgantown, West Virginia 26505
Dear Ms. Clautti:
This is in response to your letter of July 9, 1997 in which you request an
interpretation from our office regarding whether or not you may use an unrestricted
bequest from a deceased family member to help improve the school environment
(auditorium furnishings, school/office furniture, student guidance area furnishings,
school publications, etc.)
Before we answer your question, let me first thank you for you kind comments
regarding my presentation at the Principal?s Academy. Your comments are greatly
appreciated.
The answer to your question is yes. There is nothing in state law or policy
which would prohibit you from using the bequest for the purposes listed above.
Hoping that I have been of service, I am
Sincerely, /s/
Henry Marockie
