Dear Ms. Taylor:
As indicated in his June 15, 1999 letter to you, Governor Underwood
forwarded your letter to me for review and comment.
I have reviewed your letter and after doing the same placed a call to Bob Wilt
of the Personnel Office for Tyler County Board of Education. Mr. Wilt has informed
me that on June 21, 1999, you bid for one of the open custodian positions and have
been selected. Consequently, it is my understanding that you will have a contract
beginning July 1, 1999 for the 1999-2000 school year. As such, I believe that
concerns which you raised in your letter may have been adequately addressed.
However, you should be advised that whenever you bid on and accept a
position outside of the classification wherein you hold the greatest seniority you are
at risk of losing that position in the event of a reduction in force in that classification.
Please accept my best wishes. Hoping that I have been of service, I am
Sincerely, /s/
Henry Marockie
