Dear Mr. Yarrow:
1. Pursuant to your request, please find enclosed a copy of Policy 2510 of the West Virginia Board of Education. Its /6.33 defines the workday as:
"Time allocated for the instructional day and other activities such as homeroom, class changes, lunch, planning periods and staff development that may not exceed eight clock hours."
Also enclosed is former Policy 2510 which previously defined the workday ("regular school day"). No case or Opinion of the Attorney General in point has been found.
If you would like a copy of a STATE SUPERINTENDENT'S INTERPRETATION,
please provide me with its catalog title(s). The following, however, seem to be those requested.
