THREE FACILITIES ACHIEVE CEA RE-ACCREDITATION

It was another successful year, in terms of Correctional Education Association re-accreditation efforts for three of the West Virginia Department of Education’s Office of Institutional Education Programs’ adult facilities. On May 14 and 15, Lakin Correctional Center and St Marys Correctional Center, respectively, were audited and both achieved 100% compliance. On May 20, Denmar Correctional Center also achieved 100% compliance.

West Virginia’s correctional education programs are well known for their commitment to excellence and for maintaining the highest level of professionalism and service to students. Achieving and maintaining accreditation demonstrates the success of our commitment.

Congratulations to Standley Greene and his staff at Lakin, Judy Burkle and her staff at St. Marys, and Greg Curry and his staff at Denmar for a job well done!
