Huttonsville Correctional
Center is
‘making tracks’

On November 30, 2009, Eric Minter from Standard Motor
Products came to the Huttonsville Automotive Vocational
class to demonstrate and teach the HCC instructor
& students how to use the new Otto Scan tool purchased
for the class.

By using this scan tool on automobiles, the vocational
students have access to the most up-to-date technology
available to diagnose & analyze automobile problems &
trouble shoot any automobile computer system for mechanical
problems. This scan tool also helps the students
learning ability to work on modern day automobile
computer systems & prepares them for the job market
after release from incarceration.

With today's technology most automobiles use computer
systems for analyzing problems. It is a necessity
to know how to use a scan tool for diagnosing & troubleshooting.
