J P Tenney is the new principal at Elkins Mountain School, the West Virginia Children’s Home and the Davis Center. Tenney will be based at EMS and travel to the other facilities.

“I like this job because I have the opportunity to work with young men and help to make a difference in their lives,” said Tenney.

Tenney was formerly an assistant principal at Braxton County High School. He comes to OIEP with some experience. He taught reading at EMS previously.

The new principal has a Master’s degree in administration and a Masters in leadership studies.

“The job is challenging but I look forward to each day I come to work,” Tenney said
