The West Virginia Department of Education hosted Innovation Zone Informational Meetings regionally in order to share information about the WVBE Innovation Zone initiative and encourage interested educators to apply for an Innovation Zone designation. Representatives from schools or groups of schools including teachers, building administrators, business/community/parent school partners, and central office staff were in attendance along with members of higher education. Sessions were held at Stonewall Resort, Tamarak, Clay Center, Barvarian Inn and the WV High Tech Consortium.
