Did you know...

  • Dr. Jay Smink, Executive Director of the National Dropout Prevention Center, has asked Piedmont Elementary to present at the National Dropout Conference in South Carolina. Their work on developing a personalized learning plan for each child aligns with Dr. Smink’s strategies for preventing dropout. 
  • Create WV is identifying Innovation Zone schools that align with the mission of their education track for presentation opportunities.   This conference will be held in Wheeling on Oct. 18-19, 2010.
  • The National Commission on Teaching and America's Future currently collaborating with Cabell County Elementary and Secondary Consortiums to study their innovative use of professional learning communities.
