Programs of Recognition
The West Virginia Teacher of the Year program is coordinated with the national program and is annually selected by a committee appointed by the State Superintendent of schools.
The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools that are either high performing or have improved student achievement to high levels.
The West Virginia Board of Education School Service Employee of the Year Program recognizes outstanding education support personnel for their contributions to their schools and communities. The program honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in the performance of their jobs.
