Periods and Paydays
Employees
are paid twice a month - on the 15th and 30th for a thirty-day month and the
16th and 31st for a thirty-one day month.
Sometimes delays in receiving paychecks from the State Auditor's office
or delays resulting from the postal service will cause employees to receive
their paychecks later than the scheduled payday. These circumstances are infrequent and are
beyond the control of the Department.
Employees are encouraged to utilize the Direct Deposit system to
minimize delays. If a scheduled payday
falls on a Saturday or Sunday, paychecks are issued on the Friday preceding the
scheduled payday.
