The KidStrong Conference will be at the Charleston Civic Center on June 21 - 22, 2018. The registration deadline was Friday, May 18, 2018.
There is no registration cost for school personnel including School Nurses, Health & Physical Education Teachers, Alternative Education Teachers, School Counselors, Nutrition Service Personnel, School Administrators, Pupil Services Personnel, Head Start Nurses, Parent Engagement Resource Center (PERC) staff, School-Based Health Center (SBHC) staff and Public Health Specialists working with youth and Wellness Coaches who are, part-time/full-time public school employees. Short-term substitutes, community healthcare providers, community organizations and others may attend at a cost of $50.00 which includes continuing education hours, all provided lunches and breaks. Non-Degree Graduate Credit for teacher recertification and/or salary reclassification may be obtained through on-site WVLearns KidStrong registration, daily conference attendance and the development and implementation of a project plan to be developed and implemented during the 2018-2019 school-term.
Please Note: The 2018 KidStrong non-degree graduate credit and certificates of completion will be awarded during December 2018 after the development of a project plan and implementation evidence of the project plan has been reviewed and accepted by WVDE.
Non-Degree graduate credit registration forms, course codes and the course syllabus will be available on-site when you arrive and/or during the KidStrong Conference.

This 3-hour non-degree graduate credit opportunity may be used for renewal of your teaching certificate and/or for advance salary classification. It may not be used to meet requirements for a graduate degree and is not acceptable for renewal of a school nurse teaching or school nurse permit.

The regulation of the temperature in a large facility like the Civic Center and adjunct hotels are beyond our control. Please dress in layers so you can adapt to the variable temperature of each conference room and venue used throughout the event.
Parking is available at the Charleston Town Center for $1.75 per day; however, you may need to walk several blocks to and from your destinations. Please check a map and plan your time accordingly.
Free parking is available at the Civic Center, but space will be limited.
Lodging costs will be YOUR responsibility for the KidStrong Conference. Room blocks at special conference rates have been reserved.
Reservations are entirely YOUR responibility. Rooms are on a first-come, first-served basis. Room blocks are closed; however, rooms may still be available at the hotels listed below:
