ESEA Performance
Main Content

Welcome to the My School Performance website. This is your doorway to finding out how your local school is performing under the state's new student achievement and accountability system.

In 2013, West Virginia received waiver approval to free our public schools from certain federal rules and deadlines. Those rules fell under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), also known as the No Child Left Behind Act. Now West Virginia can use its own accountability system which was created by our state for our students. This accountability system more effectively identifies struggling schools and better directs resources to struggling schools. (2013 ESEA Results)

Every public school in the state will be designated as a SUCCESS, TRANSITION, FOCUS, SUPPORT or PRIORITY school. Click on the "How's My School Doing?" button below to find out how your school performed. You will see a quick snapshot of how many kids are meeting grade level expectations, how much a school has closed its achievement gap between groups of students, and how much students are improving academically no matter their current level of performance.
