The West Virginia Board of Education and the Department of Education is committed to improving the educational proficiency of all students in West Virginia. To this aim, we have developed a set of five strategic goals. These goals have been translated into a strategic plan which includes objectives to achieve the goals; timelines, activities, and responsibilities to implement the plan; and evidence measuring progress to achieving each goal.
