Veggie Tuna Melts
Ingredients

| Tuna, packed in water, drained | 12.5 oz | 25 oz | 50 oz | | Mayonnaise | 0.5 Tbsp | 1 Tbsp | 2 Tbsp | | Mustard, brown | 0.5 Tbsp | 1 Tbsp | 2 Tbsp | | Onions, chopped | 0.5 cup | 1 cup | 2 cup | | Celery, chopped | 1 cup | 2 cup | 4 cup | | Carrots, grated | 1 cup | 2 cup | 4 cup | | Cheese, cheddar | 0.25 cup | 0.5 cup | 1 cup | | Bread, whole grain | 7 slices | 14 slices | 28 slices |
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
- 2. Wash and dry onions, celery and carrots. Chop onion and celery. Grate carrots. Combine in bowl. Set aside.
- 3. Combine mayonnaise, mustard, and drained tuna in a bowl.
- 4. Add onions, celery and carrots.
- 5. Place bread slices on a baking sheet.
- 6. Top bead with 3/4 cup of tuna mixture, sprinkle with cheese.
- 7. Bake at 350 F for 5 minutes, until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
