Veggie Tuna Melts

Ingredients

Tuna, packed in water, drained12.5 oz25 oz50 oz
Mayonnaise0.5 Tbsp1 Tbsp2 Tbsp
Mustard, brown0.5 Tbsp1 Tbsp2 Tbsp
Onions, chopped0.5 cup1 cup2 cup
Celery, chopped1 cup2 cup4 cup
Carrots, grated1 cup2 cup4 cup
Cheese, cheddar0.25 cup0.5 cup1 cup
Bread, whole grain7 slices14 slices28 slices

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. 2. Wash and dry onions, celery and carrots. Chop onion and celery. Grate carrots. Combine in bowl. Set aside.
  3. 3. Combine mayonnaise, mustard, and drained tuna in a bowl.
  4. 4. Add onions, celery and carrots.
  5. 5. Place bread slices on a baking sheet.
  6. 6. Top bead with 3/4 cup of tuna mixture, sprinkle with cheese.
  7. 7. Bake at 350 F for 5 minutes, until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
