1% (low-fat) milk0.5 Tbsp1 Tbsp2 Tbsp
Black pepper0.125 tsp0.25 tsp0.5 tsp
Wheat cereal squares0.75 cup1.5 cup3 cup
Beans, black0.25 cup0.5 cup1 cup

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. 2. In bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Mix well.
  3. 3. Remove 1/4 cup of mixture from bowl to use later.
  4. 4. Remove 1/4 cup of mixture from bowl to use later.
  5. 5. To the mixture in bowl, add garlic powder, egg, milk, beans, turkey and black pepper, and mix well.
  6. 6. Stir in wheat cereal squares. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  7. 7. Break up cereal squares and add ground beef. Mix.
  8. 8. Shape into loaf pans.

Food For Thought

Using ground turkey instead of ground beef decreases the fat in meatloaf. You can also add vegetables to increase the nutrition.
