CACFP Reimbursement Rates
Note: Reimbursement rates are for the Fiscal Year 2012 – 2013 (July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013).
Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
For centers electing cash-in-lieu of commodities, the level of commodity assistance in the Child and Adult Care Food Program is $.2275 per lunch and supper served to enrolled children and adults.
CACFP At-Risk Afterschool Snack and Supper Program
For sponsors of the At-Risk Afterschool Snack and/or Supper Program, snacks are reimbursed at the free rate of $0.78 and suppers are reimbursed at the free rate of $2.86.
Family Day Care Homes (FDCH)
CACFP provides reimbursement for meals and snacks served to small groups of children receiving nonresidential day care in private homes that are licensed to provide family child care.
CACFP targets higher levels of reimbursement to low-income areas, and to day care providers and children most in need. The reimbursements make the cost of day care more affordable for many lower income families.
