I.

President Barbara N. Fish called the meeting of the West Virginia Board of Education's Strategic Planning Committee to order at 11:05 a.m. on May 24, 2005, in the Board Room, West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission, 2875 Staunton Turnpike, Parkersburg, West Virginia.

The following members present: President Fish, Vice President Lowell E. Johnson, Secretary Priscilla M. Haden, Sandra M. Chapman and Ronald B. Spencer.

II.

The agenda was approved by consensus.

III.

The Board's strategic plan was reviewed and discussed in preparation for the annual status report to be provided at the June meeting of the Board.

IV.

The next special meeting of the Board will be held May 31, 2005 in Charleston, West Virginia. The next regular meeting of the Board will be held June 8-9, 2005 at the Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Jackson County, West Virginia.

V.

President Fish adjourned the meeting at 1:40 p.m.
