I.

Call to Order



President Cleo P. Mathews called the special meeting of the West Virginia Board of Education to order at 1:05 p.m. on December 8, 1999 in the Board Conference Room, Capitol Building 6, Room 353, 1900 Kanawha Boulevard, East, Charleston, West Virginia. Members present were Secretary J. D. Morris, Sandra M. Chapman, James J. MacCallum, Jim L. McKnight, and Ronald B. Spencer. Following the call to order the Board went into Executive Session to discuss personnel issues. Upon return from Executive Session President Mathews reported that no decisions were made. Following the Executive Session the Board was provided a presentation by the Appalachia Educational Laboratory.





II.

Adjournment



Upon motion by Jim L. McKnight, second by Ronald B. Spencer, the Board adjourned at approximately 5:20 p.m.
