Call to Order



President Cleo P. Mathews called the emergency meeting of the West Virginia Board of Education to order at 1:00 p.m. on October 18, 1999, in the Board Conference Room, Capitol Building 6, Room 353, 1900 Kanawha Boulevard, East, Charleston, West Virginia. Members present were Secretary J. D. Morris, Sandra M. Chapman (via telephone), Sheila M. Hamilton (via telephone), James J. MacCallum (via telephone), and Paul J. Morris. The Board met with representatives of the Isaacson, Miller consulting firm (via telephone) to discuss developments in the search for a state superintendent of schools. No business was transacted.

The meeting was declared adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
