I.

President Cleo P. Mathews called the emergency meeting of the West Virginia Board of Education to order to 3:29 p.m. on August 3, 1999, in the Board Conference Room, Capitol Building 6, Room 353, 1900 Kanawha Boulevard, East, Charleston, West Virginia. Members present were Secretary J. D. Morris, Sheila M. Hamilton, James J. MacCallum and Paul J. Morris.

II.

Upon motion by Paul J. Morris, second by James J. MacCallum, the Board selected, for recommendation to the Department of Administration, the consulting firm of Isaacson, Miller, to assist in the State Superintendent of Schools search.

III.

Upon motion by James J. MacCallum, second by Paul J. Morris, the Board adjourned at approximately 3:41 p.m.
